Baba Onochie, who traveled to America on tour with Fela Kuti in 1969 and served as the bass player on the famous LA Sessions album, is not only a masterful musician but also an enchanting storyteller/griot.   • RHYTHMS OF THE VILLAGE - Price varies: Engage your audience with a multidisciplinary cultural program featuring drum accompaniment, singing, dancing, and storytelling. This interactive experience is educational, entertaining, moralistic, thought-provoking, and humorous, providing a relevant learning experience in the Nigerian culture. Duration: 30 minutes to one hour.

  • DRUMMING + ONE DANCER - $350-$500: Add a touch of authenticity to your event with a package featuring an experienced master drummer and one skilled dancer.

  • BABA ONOCHIE SOLO PERFORMANCE: In addition to band performances, Baba Onochie Chukwurah offers captivating solo performances as a storyteller and guest lecturer on African History. As a current professor at Cal State LA, teaching Yoruba & Igbo language and African History, Baba brings an unparalleled depth of knowledge and authenticity to his performances. His solo appearances are priced at $500-$1000 for 45 minutes to one hour.
